Denon HEOS Home Cinema Wireless Soundbar and Subwoofer : Enjoy listening!

Awesome for music , more than movies i see.

Lot of people are looking not only for a good soundbar but also for a good sound system. I do not often write reviews but for this unit i had to as i know a lot of people are looking not only for a good soundbar but also for a good sound system. I had the chance to ear sonos sound bar and the sonos 5 but the sound of the heos sound bar its quite unique. Highs are crisp and clear and the subwoofer follows so well it just complement the all experience without overwelming the sound or being too full. I had previously a much bigger subwoofer that sounded less precise and definitely more bloated. I do prefer heos by a quite large margin. I have got mine at richer sound and for £299. I saw that amazon sell it for the same price. I think i would prefer heos to sonos even at matched prices but seeing what a difference there is well, its absolutely a no brainer.

I am not an incentivised reviewer – and i love the heos multi room system we have built up. I purchased the heos system for my home – i am not an incentivised reviewer – and i love the heos multi room system we have built up through our house. Spent a while researching and came down to a shortlist of sonos (the big established player in the market) and denon’s heos system. I came to the same conclusion as many other reviewers/people after a visit to a store to ‘try before i buy’ and compare the two systems side by side. The heos sounded noticeably better – and that was even before playing a high definition audio file (which the sonos systems can’t play) and the fact that i can bluetooth to the heos devices too which has already proven useful on occasion (the sonos relies entirely on a wifi style connection – no bluetooth) – but the sonos app is better (which is echoed by a lot of the reviews you will see online)my conclusion – i wanted the multi-room system for the audio sound reproduction, not the app. And of course the app can be updated indefinitely for free, so i have no doubt that a huge company like denon will catch up, if not supersede sonos – denon are a far bigger established brand – and my speakers will also sound better too :)so i purchased an audio system with my ears – which is how we consume the product benefitsthat said i have had no problems with the heos app – the initial set up is super simple, adding new speakers to the system is equally super simple, day-to-day operation is super simple and no issues whatsoever. The only hurdle i have encountered was the sometimes clunky why the app groups speakers together – it can be hit and miss sometimes – but you only really do this every now and then so isn’t a problem so-to-speak. Great sounding speakers, that fill the room – the larger heos 7 and home cinema with subwoofer totally fill the room and immerse you in rich audio that does not seem feasible from such small systems – the heos 1 is great in our kitchen (doesn’t have the low end punch of the bigger heos systems – but that said the wife is frequently tell me and the kids to turn it downwe love the system and highly recommend it.

1 surround set up which is sadly now in boxes waiting to be sold. Moving house, smaller living room and a new addition to the family soon has meant that wires sprawling around the living room were a no no. I spent a lot of time researching, reading reviews and then listening to soundbars. What became readily apparent is that is is pretty unlikely to find something that ticks every single box, but this certainly came the closest. For movies, the yamaha ysp-2500 outperforms this and does an incredible job at giving a great surround sound feel, plus it’s build quality is fantastic, supports 4k and has multiple hdmi inputs. Monitor audio asb-2 is also fantastic (if a bit large and heavy). But, if you don’t want it purely for movies / tv and you enjoy listening to music as well there are other options, especially if connectivity throughout the house appeals to you, as it does me. We love to entertain and the idea of a good home cinema system, which is also good for music appeals.
