Hisense 65 inch HDR Widescreen 4K Smart LED TV : Very impressive TV

I’ve had it about a fortnight and i can’t fault it. The picture is amazing and the sound is superb (for my liking). The only downside is the hd is so clear that films need to upgrade their special effects as they look shockingly fake :-d xx.

Are you in the market for a new tv but can’t decide whether to take a punt on a relatively unknown brand?. Well i did, and i was more than pleasantly surprised. This tv is great value for money. I’ll give you the downsides first:- no vga/dvi input (most devices use hdmi though so not really such a big downside)- epg is a little slow in displaying what is on (shows no information until it slowly catches up)- speakers are a little flat on the bass (which tv isn’t these days)- you can’t reassign the netflix button on the remote- some picture settings can cause motion blur and pixelation- you’ll need to adjust the settings to get the best out of the tv (why not just have it preset out of he box??)now the good stuff:- the tv processes 4k perfectly fine on it’s own- more hdmi inputs then i know what to do with (4 of them to be exact)- 1080p upscaling to 4k works very well and the picture is amazing- undetectable response lag, to the eye at least- no light bleed around the edges- colours are rich and blacks are black enoughif you are hestitating because of the lack of apps in the smart feature or some other gimmick then don’t be. From a pure tv point of view this is worth the money hands down.

Only had the tv a couple of days, went with the 55′ hdr as it had excellent reviews on the av forums site and have to say they weren’t wrong. I’ve upgraded from a 6 year old sony bravia 42′ (1080p) and the difference is clear. Like the metal finish, stand was easy to construct, remote is intuitive, nice size and easy to use, i like the dedicated netflix button. Smart looking set, decent picture, sound seems ok too though i use it with a sound bar for films and tv other than just the news etc. My first smart tv, i’m not sure if this is the case with all smart tvs but there is a lack of apps – especially 4od, itv player and 5 on demand. It has netflix, amazon prime and bbc iplayer though, but for 4od and 5 i still have to use the apps on my xbox. Maybe they will add these in time?the only thing to watch out for is the stand – the feet go out at a funny angle which meant it didn’t fit on my old tv stand (admittedly meant for 42′) as it was tapered at the rear, had the feet been straight or it been on a rectangular platform like my sony it would have fitted fine but can’t hold the tv at fault for that one i should’ve checked (though the product description doesn’t seem that extensive). Recommended, never heard of the brand before (apparently big in asia) but if they keep making products like this i’m sure they’ll be up there with the big boys in the uk soon enough.

“Brilliant 55m7000, Great TV at a FANTASTIC price – software could be improved, Just Relevant Reviews Please”

Great quality tv for the price. I managed to grab this in the £399 lightning deal the day before black friday and for that price i have to say it is fantastic. The first one arrived and had a small area of dullness in the bottom left hand corner. You wouldn’t have spotted it if you just watched tv but as i have a htpc i spotted it when i opened up google as the all white page showed the area was darker. Credit to amazon they sent out a replacement straight away and its working perfectly. As soon as the set-up wizard finished it told me there was an update to get bbc iplayer and other services added to the unit. Took about 5 minutes to download and install. I have taken the time to test most of the setting and now have the tv set-up with what i consider to be optimal viewing. I activated the performance mode and manually changed the smoothness and noise settings to low. I also changed the colour settings to warm and dropped the brightness by 2 notches.

Moving from a 10yr old 42′ 720hd tv and an sd projector to this 65′ hisense is a revelation even with only a 1080 signal, planet earth 2 was a never ending series of ‘ooh’ and ‘wow’ around the room. It’s necessary to tweak the picture and backlight settings a little to suit your own tastes, but that’s expected. The only slight negative would be the slightly shiny screen does reflect some lights from behind the viewing position , so they may need moving. There may be better tvs out there but they probably cost a lot more too.

Great product, very very sharp and clear. My parents bought this brand before and it has never let them down, so i bought this brand for my tv and washing machine. I have been using it for nearly half year now. Pretty good product, very sharp and clear, don’t see any defects such as bright spots etc. What i like the most is there is a youtube and netflix button on the remote so you dont have to go into the programme and select. No itv from the apps is the only thing i dont like about, hope they can address by software update.
