Ricco 240 W 2 Channel Real Wood Furniture tooth Soundbar Hi-Fi Speaker Home Cinema Music System : Really good product although I don’t use mine for my TV

Don’t be put off by the price. I wasn’t expecting much based on the price but was happily mistaken. After i got over the initial shock of the size of the unit. I plugged it into the mains and away i went. The unit bonded via bluetooth to both my ipad and android phone without incident and playback was good. I tried the radio recption and it found all the stations with ease. I connected it to our samsung tv via the optical cable was was very pleased with the whole experience (although i did struggle until i found the optical cable is actually ‘keyed’ and can only be put in one way). I have not experienced any audio sync errors as per one one of the other reviews when used in this way, although i haven’t tried it connected any other way. Important note: there are no connection cables included. The bass is good and the sound out of the unit is much better than the built in speakers in the tv (and this was the top of the range 55′ tv a couple of years ago).

Sounds great looks okay rather large and squared but pleasing enough. Sounds great looks okay rather large and squared but pleasing enough on the eye. I have used optical cable to connect directly into tv, easy enough to set up but had it up and running in no time at all. I connected my blu ray, then ps 3 and xbox 360 and after rejigging settings on the device themselves i now have them all running through this system. It’s amazing for the price point to be honest. Deducted one star for remote but to be honest if that’s it’s only fault i am well happy. You can also use onboard buttons to tweet sound etc when remote feeling poorly.

Really good product although i don’t use mine for my tv. Really good product although i don’t use mine for my tv i have it in my room for music and videos on my laptop and tablet, and the sound is excellent, the design is really nice (although a bit big for some some people it looks really good in my room) the remote is a bit flimsy but not bothered by that as it works. Defiantly worth getting if your in a budget and the sound really is good. My first impression out of the box is that it bigger than i thought it would be. It is about a metre long (as described). It has a feel of quality and does not look or feel cheap. Negativethe description of the ht68wl says that there are hdmi inputs and output. If there are, i can’t find them.On the back i have functions for coaxial, optical, auxillary stereo input.

Ricco is a company that i hadn’t heard about before but looking on the web i found a u. Based website for it but unfortunately this particular product was not listed. The ht68wl is a multi-function soundbar measuring a not insignificant 130 mm x 175mm x 1070mm and weighing in at 5. It is made from black laminated chipboard with a metal/plastic grille running the full front. Behind the grille is a blue led display which shows the selected input source and the volume and other levels as you change them. Inset into the top panel is a row of push buttons allowing you to power the unit on, change the volume and select the source. The back panel contains the power in socket for the plug top power unit that is supplied.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Good product, bad cables!
  • Firstly this is very sturdy and well made not flimsy plastic like most
  • No HDMI connectivity? Good sound. Worth getting.

The grille extends right across the front; the display lights up behind it can be seen through it. The “real wood” is a covered chipboard. The fm radio works well with no hiss and easy to save the stations i can get; there is a captive fm aerial lead. Hooks up to hifi separates (such as cd player or dab unit) via the standard rca plugs. There is the facility to add a subwoofer which has a separate volume control, which would give more punch. There is also coax, optical and bluetooth connectivity. The input button cycles through these plus fm and aux (the phono plugs). The remote gives greater control over volume functions than can be had on the switches on top of the unit. You need to ensure that it points reasonably directly at the unit to work.
