Sony BDV-E2100 1000 W Home Cinema System : Excellent Home Cinema A/V set up

A great sound but the cables are short. A great sound but the cables are short, extensions may be available online but i extended mine myself. Which i’d only recommend doing if you’re a professional. Or have experience with soldering / heat shrinking etc. The settings do allow you to alter the av sync to account for shortened or longer cable runs which is handy.

Very good, apart from cables. Fantastic sound from relativly small speakers. Plays alot more formats of dvd than old player. As another reviewer stated, rear speakerleads are a little shorter than my old (sony) system. Not amazons fault, come on sony give us a couple more metres of speakercable,it won’t dent your profits that much. Easy to use x-bar controller on tv,like a ps3. Usb socket on front handy to play music. Apart fromthe cable issue, would have given 5 stars.

“Excellent Home Cinema A/V set up, Fantastic Product, stylish design and very good build quality. Week sound and slow start of the Bluetooth connection”

I have a big old (4 years – prehistoric now) samsumg led tv which has an amazing picture but awful sound, needing constant adjustment of the volume to get it right. The sony bdve2100 home cinema system has solved this problem in a stroke. After a little bit of unwrapping, the cable for the speakers and subwoofer were colour coded so there was no need for trial and error. To use in the most effective way (i think) you need to buy an optical cable – i bought a 1 metre one for £5 xo digital optical cable premium install series – suitable for ps3, sky, sky hd, lcd, led, plasma, blu-ray, home cinema systems, av amps (1m (1meter) optical)and it works perfectly (it would be nice if one was included). I didn’t want cables trailingover the house so the sub is behind the tv and speakers are angled on the speaker stand. I was dubious as to whether it would work but it is actually perfect, with rich sound filling the room, i am sure we are hearing more detail than we have before (birds, newspapers rustling etc). I am using mainly to put whatever is on the tv through the speakers (hence the need for the optical cable). As well as tv (which really is jaw dropping), we have had the playstation and apple tv through it and again it brings the sound alive.

I bought this when my old sony surround sound finally gave up. I had around £1000 system but couldn’t get that again. This system boasted a 3d bluray player, all speakers and a woofer. All that made me think each component would be quite cheap but i couldnt have been more wrong. The woofer and speakers sound great and do a great job all the way up to full volume. Don’t get me wrong at full volume it’s great indoors and you are only just going to be able to annoy your neighbours but it’s not capable of ear blistering volume. The cables are that long so i’ve bought my own and run them under the carpet. I had to cut the wires too as it had its own connectors. The system is great and with one touch on the remote i can send music from my phone with bluetooth.

Neighbours complaining of walls shaking – for real. Had to download an equalizer program – this is probably the only down point, there is no built-in way to equalize the sound – to turn down the bass () can’t wait to move to a house so can use the full 1000w of sound power.
